Take Me With You, 2010
To wherever past years go
Divided and split into dozens of dusty boxes
That we can never relive
Take me with you, 2010
I'm not done with you
Yesterday, you were the New Year
Now people are so quick to move on
Take me with you, 2010
Don't you see?
I don't WANT to get older
I don't want anyone, or anything, to age
Take me with you, 2010
So that I never forget all that we accomplished
The good, the bad, the ugly, and the magnificent
I never want you to be a memory, but always the present
Take me with you, 2010
I've laughed and cried
And so I will again
But always in a new way
Take me with you, 2010
For on January 1st, almost a year ago
It seemed that you would never end
It was impossible to imagine
Take me with you, 2010
A favorite emory of mine - I never want to leave behind the Olympics -
And the best ones that we'll ever see!
Our athletes, basking in a halo of golden medals
Take me with you, 2010
Every trip, vacation, car ride and distraction
Every embarassing moment
Every moment filled with pride and joy
Take me with you 2010,
It's another decade gone since the turn of the century
1999 seems a lot farther away
But you were filled with firsts, lasts, and loves
Take me with you, 2010
Why is this so hard for me?
I don't want you to leave me behind
Or are you leaving me forward?
Take me with you, 2010
It's been the best year yet
2011 can't possibly out shine you, don't worry
I'll remember this time, last year - and so much more
Take me with you, 2010
For it's that simple
Only one strike of the clock, one change of a digit
Means that 365 days are left behind - and my heart drops - just like that
Goodbye, 2010
Because although I WANT you to stay
I can't stop the clock - no one can, no one will
But have faith, for if it were up to me,
11:59 on December 31, 2010
Would never end,
But rather hold on
Forever

To Dream of Winter Christmas
Leap through the froth which is snow
Inhale the stab which is ice
Wander down the ribbons which are trails
Hold the mittens which are friendly hands
Swoop down the runs which are hills
Laugh with the figurines which are family
Gaze at the ink which is black night
Glide on the wings which are toboggans
Prance through the chill which is wind
Smile at the stars which are twinkling lights
Lick the canes which are candy
Slip between the bare stocks which are trees
Chase down the bells which are sleighs
And dream of the day that is Christmas

Snowflake Charms
The snow laden branches bow their slender arms
As glistening flakes cast their charms
Flurries cast fragile glances
While a tear dropped leaf tumbles and prances.
The sun smiles on the earth below
As the father admires the young doe
Mice tickle hardened roots
The night air is filled with owls’ hoots.
Moonlight rays dance their way down
The ice moulded crystals shed an unearthly hue
The twig burdened path is worn and true
Fireflies tremble and bid thee adieu.

Christmas’ Dawn
Winter is coming
People are running
Trying to finish their Christmas shopping
Throughout this place its slowly gets colder
The air is crisp
Starting to get bolder
A sliver of moonlight dancing and prancing
With little girls fantasying
Over Christmas stockings
Snow rests on long tree branches
And people wait for the count to begin
24 hours till dawn breaks again

They Will Remember
Good.
That saves me the time of telling you.
Let's cut to the chase.
Everyone says, "We will remember."
Really?
WE will remember?
How about THEY will remember.
Because there are only a handful of people who really, truly, do.
The rest of us just tack those words together, because if we don't have empathy here, the dirty looks and scornful stares will be enough to send us skittering into the backs of our own minds. Sad.
The soldiers, the nurses, the bombers - those are the only ones who remember.
They remember the gunfire
They heartbreak
The heat, the cold
The pain
The smoke
The exhaustion
The heartbreak.
Does anyone ever consider?
That perhaps those soldiers were torn, between going, and staying.
Not like the movies -
Where the brave young man runs without heart nor head, into the heat of the battle.
They were told that they had a duty to their country.
But what about the duty to their familes?
Who would feed, clothe, and kiss them goodnight?
HUH?
Who?
Stupid.
War is stupid.
And yet somehow, completely necessary.
*Sigh*
I'm trying to make a point, all right?
Do you get it yet?
Hmmm?
Maybe I have several points.
The soldiers weren't naive.
They knew that war meant possible death.
What would it be like, to leave your fate to your enemies?
Unpleasant thoughts to think.
We try not to think about it.
And we tell ourselves that we don't have to, because it's not a reality.
Yet.
This is why we tack those words together, tying the knots between them without guilt.
Because we are ignorant, really.
We (should) admire and respect the veterans -
But I don't think that we always listen them.
"Whatever you say, Gramps." We utter, as they tell their stories, as they emphasize the horror.
Those men and women in uniform are so much more than "gramps".
"Put yourself in their shoes," others may say.
We can't.
We're too thick, too internally fueled, to do that.
We're not imaginative enough, either.
It's a day off of school, you know.
Remembrance Day.
Don't be so narrowly focussed as that -
It's not just a day off of school, or work
Watch the live broadcasts, wear your poppy.
Sing "Oh Canada," and be as proud to sing it as you've ever been.
That song can make me cry, you know.
When it's sung with so much force, by so many who know it by heart, at the right moment.
"The true north, strong and free."
Beautiful.
I'm so proud of Canada.
We helped,
We helped fight
For freedom.
Do you get it yet?
My point?
I'd hope so.
Well.
Remembrance Day is 2 days away.
I dare you - don't say it
Don't mindlessly chant, "We will remember."
Be more specific.
Or say it because you mean it.
"They will remember, and we will try to understand."
"We will not be ingorant."
"We will not forget, or ignore."
"We will remember, because they sacrificed more than we'll ever have to."
I dare you.
God Bless.

Ageing (Dieing!!!)
I have come to the conclusion that Aging is really the act of dieing. Think about it, you cant remake skin cells. So your skin gets older and starts dieing and getting wrinkly and this makes growing up totally pointless! You spend like twenty years ripening into this beautiful, fully grown adult and then you start aging. Which is really dieing! Cant there be a point where you stop and are say "wow!" "I'm fully grown and looking good!" Your body just grows and grows and then "Ages" (DIES!!!) You basically spend your whole life dieing, becoming less then what you grew up to be.
Until its all gone

3 Days
3 Days
*
3 Days of Pain
Longing to start over
Wanting a fresh start
An aching heart
Broken dreams
*
Unable to think
Unable to do
Only thing to keep me sane
Is to look at you
*
I want what we had before
I can’t stand this distance
My heart can’t handle this anymore
*
I miss your loving gaze
Your imprint on my mind
You honestly put me in a daze
How did you break down my door?
*
3 days of Pain
Alone and scared
3 Days of Pain
Hardly standing
3 Days of Pain
And now I’m nothing

True Beauty
We are so superficial! We don't even know it! Every morning, I get up, and head straight to the bathroom. Shower. Hair. Make-up. Outfit. It's a routine - and I do it every morning. God must laugh - watching us to try and improve what we have - what he made JUST the way that he wants it.
People say that it's inner beauty - that's what really counts. And it does - but is that it? And WHAT IS inner beauty? Different people will tell you diferently. "It's who you are as a person." "It's the way that you interact with people." "It's the thoughts that we hold and what we value." "It's being a good person." Hmmm. Maybe none of them are true - maybe all of them are. Who am I to say what beauty really is?
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Well, if the whole world is the beholder, then the whole world has an opinion. Maybe we need not to focus on their opinions - but God's. And he thinks that we're all beautiful. Doesn't that mean that none of us are beautiful? I don't think so - because God knows each of us, completely and thoroughly. He sees each of us individually - and so each of us has an individual beauty.
That's what counts.
This is Us
To take on the world
To trust eachother and ourselves
--
We walk through the open canopy
Some hand in hand
And sing the song that never dies
--
This is us to fight
When we're at our strongest
All one melody
--
Ready to be challenged
And hold our position
Against the storm
--
The breeze can't sway us
We march on
We smile at the sun
--
This is us when we're alive
Every little detail is noticable
We can see what other can't
--
We will not fail
We will make mistakes
But we will not fail
--
Summer is over
But we strive to battle the winter
And embrace the fall
--
When we feel we cannot go on
We do
And each holds his own
--
This is us in the present
When it matters most
This is us now

Sam the Over Confident Spider
His name was Sam and he was stylish, smart, and skinny. Unlike his brother who was style less, stupid, and stocky. You do the math who is the family favorite. That’s right Sam, Sam is everyone’s favorite. He’s perfect, sensitive, strong and defiantly pretty special. Everyone knew it including him. That’s was the problem he knew it and cared about deeply. The truth is there is something that could slap him silly, and that’s the swallow. Most deadly bird of all and everyone feared it except Sam. So when he ran into this Swallow he decided he could take it on too like all the other things. But because he didn’t use his head the bird ate him. All the other spiders learned that being good at something and working hard is one thing but being proud and cocky is another thing. Having a little fear is ok.

A Letter from Hell
http://http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFZ1pt0WX5c&feature=related
What if?
What if you had a friend who died without knowing Jesus as their personal savior?
What if he or she went to Hell?
What if one day you received a letter in the mail from beyond?
A letter from Hell.
A letter from your friend in the flames of eternal torment.
The following is a letter from a fictitious High School student named Josh, to a friend named Zach. Although Zach had every opportunity to tell Josh about Jesus...he didn't.
They were best friends.
They played soccer together.
They went to classes together.
They partied together.
They shared their lives with each other.
But there was one thing Zack held back from Josh...
...His personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The rest of the story is simple and sad...
A few too many beers,
A tragic drive home.
A crash.
A death.
A funeral
...
A letter
Here is that letter in entirety
A letter form Hell
Dear Zach,
I died today. It's a lot different than what I expected, you see I always thought that dying would bring me to a world that is foggy and hazy... But this place is crystal clear. It's even more real that my life on Earth. I can think. I can talk. I can even feel. Right after the wreck I could feel my spirit leaving my body, it was the weirdest thing Zach...I thought I heard you screaming out to me man, I must have just been imagining things. At first I was just standing in line, getting registered I guess. They asked me for my name and began to look in this thing they call the Book of Life...I guess they couldn't find it though because this huge angel standing next to me took my arm and started dragging me away, I was terrified. I had no idea what was going on, I asked the Angel where he was taking me, but he didn't answer. So I ask again. Finally he told me that only those whose names who are written in the Book of Life could enter into Heaven...The rest would be condemned to Hell forever.
Man I was scared. The angel threw me into some kind of holding cell where I have been sitting and thinking for a whole long long time. Do you want to know what I have been thinking about? I've been thinking about YOU.
Zach your a Christian. You told me so yourself. I mean we have talked about this three different times today...Delly brought it up,
You laughed it off
Coach Adams brought it up
You changed the subject.
I mean it came up right before the wreck...
Well the question I can't get out of my mind was this Zach.
Why haven't you ever told me about how to become a Christian?
You say you are my friend, but if you really were you would have told me about me about...Jesus. Told me how to escape this horrible place that I'm headed for!
I can feel my heart cracking in my chest, the angels who have been chosen to cast me into Hell are coming down the hallway! I can hear their voices...I have heard of this Hell Zach...They call it the Lake of Fire. I can't stand it Zach... I am terrified! The Angels are at the door, oh no! nooooo! They are coming in and are pointing at me! They're grabbing me, and carrying me out of the room! I can already smell the burning sulfur and brimstone. I can see the edge of the cliff..this is it, I am without help! We are coming closer! Closer! CLOSER! My heart is bursting with fear! They are holding me over the flames! I am damned forever! This is it, they have thrown me in.
Fire.
Pain.
Hell!
...Why didn't you ever tell me about...
Jesus.
Signed your friend,
Josh
P.S. Wish you were here...
Don't' bother me.
Don't' bother me with souls to save.
I have my own agenda.
There's school to do, sports to play,
important stuff to attend to.
Don't' bother me with my friend at work.
He's got his own religion, I don't have time to change his mind.
He'll make his own decision.
Don't bother me with that little girl,
the girl playing in the street.
She's much too young to understand
That the Saviour she could meet
Don't bother me with the sounds I hear.
The sounds of people shrieking, although I wonder who they are
Who are these victims
Screaming?
Don't bother me with who they are,
I really don't want the blame
Cause it's my friend at work and that little girl
Who form Hell scream out my name.
But don't bother me.
Desicion
Going through transitions in life is difficult. There will always be the pros and cons but there will always be consequences. In the end you have to figure out what is best for you. I mean thinking about others is important, but sometimes you have think about yourself, what will be best for you. You will always be given different opinions but really the one person's opinion who matters the most is God's. I can guarantee that He will help you through it, he may not give you an answer but then he will comfort you. Life is all ups and downs, and when your in a down just go with the flow and follow your heart. Make it the best you can;...just remember to smile :)
Molded World
Trees may be little but they are still as great and definatly not made of plastic. Roads, cars, rocks, rivers, all part of a planned space. We're like walking barbies, and guess whos our owner.
God must giggle at our tiny plastic hair and makeup brushes that we use to look pretty. Seriously cant we be happy with the way we are?He watches us build our doll houses and plan them out to the very last detail. Picking out furniture, hanging curtins, and washing dishes.
Even though we are tiny, we act like giants. The world revovlves around us. Maybe if we viewed everything tiny, including ourselves, our heads wouldn't be so big

"How Does One Fight?"
Of one who's trying to pretend all things are right
She thinks she's got it
Until she's alone by herself at night
She cries for comfort
Even though she tries so hard to be perfect on the outside
And her heart
Is cracking under the waves
And it's dragging her down
Under the weight
To the depths of her own depression
How does one fight
When the fight ain't fair?
How does one laugh
When a smile's so rare?
How does one live
When the will's not there?
I wonder, without You
Would the will be there?
Her will's not there
Some days she gets up
And it feels like the walls have finally closed in too tight
Some days she wakes up
And she wonders if she should just take flight
To get away from
All the battles waging inside her heart
Making it hard to breathe
Yet she's losing the fight
To the dawning of night
And still she prays for light
How does one fight
When the fight ain't fair?
How does one laugh
When a smile's so rare?
How does one live
When the will's not there?
I wonder, withou You
Would the will be there?
Her will can't be there
What can she do?
Her exterior's finally cracking
All of those dazzling smiles
They were only masking
All of the pain
Built up inside
But she can no longer hide
Herself from you
How can she fight
When the fight ain't fair?
How can she laugh
When a smile's so rare?
How can she live
When the will's not there?
I wonder without You
Would the will be there?
Now her will's there
Oh it's there
I know that look now
Of one who's finally found her way home
This is an original, COPYRIGHT (hehe) song that I wrote, and have the music for.
Let me know what you think!

Deaf to your Screams
You'd probably get pretty upset after awhile. It takes a lot of energy to scream. Why scream when you cant be heard? Why scream when your being ignored. Lots of times we scream inside, to ourselves. Lots of times we are declined. Which causes us to scream more. We scream about different things. Some worthy, some stupid, but we still scream. We scream till we get our way, we scream till it goes away. Why not whisper? Afraid you wont be heard? Don't you think people will except you better when you're calmer? In a soundproof room your screams wont be heard anyways. Get attention another way. Screaming will get you nowhere. The only thing it will give you is a sore throat.
